liz phair finds a brand new way to break my heart
so i was suspicious when i started seeing the high quality promo photos. i thought "gosh, liz baby, you were a lot hotter when you couldn't make out any of the details of the polaroids in the liner notes. but whatever, you still rock!" then i heard that the new album was produced by the people who produced avril lavenge. "hey! listen here, little lady! it's fine if you want to dress up like a teen people cover girl but you leave that garbage out of the cd's, okay? you promised! go to your room and don't come out til you've listen to the entire rolling stones catalog!" then i heard the new song and all my worst suspicions were confirmed.
why would she do it? hasn't she hurt me enough? is she making a joke? tell me it's a joke.

okay, so this is for the three people that still read this page. i don't know why, but this wilco song keeps popping into my head. i haven't listened to it in a while, but there it is. this one and "ashes of american flags". explain that to me.
"in a future age"
Genuine
Day will come
When the wind
Decides to run
And shakes the stairs
That stab the wall
And turns the page
In a future age
Some trees will bend
And some will fall
But then again
So will us all
Lets turn our prayers
Into outrageous dares
And mark our page
In a future age
High above
The sea of cars
And barking dogs
In fenced-in yards

easy. talking heads, television man it was during the le parc crew's 'brother's era' that i really got hooked on the talking heads, who went on to become my favorite band for like a solid year. the only song that ever got played (and only b/c i requested it) was burning down the house. what is that about? no and she was? love for sale? i could dance to that, fuck the people who can really dance. they're who made that place shitty. 80's night should have been restricted to underage drunks w/ no possible hope of hooking up. that way i might have.
as far as the standard 80's night fare, mexican radio by wall of voodoo can stay, but in light rotation. i would like to see some classic r.e.m somewhere (radio free europe would do fine). instead of always playing they might be giant's istanbul (not consantinople[sp?]) as the "okay, go home" number, how about some wierd al, damn it! also, speaking for some of my brothers dance partners, play some fucking metallica! and some pan-fucking-tera, while you're at it. 'it' being instigating the desecration of some vein dance/art psycho's fancy shoes.
great post, ep. way to get the page kicking again.
also, blogger, quit giving me and my boys these error messages or all the fans in the world won't save you from the shit

sorry i've been away so long.
love what you've done with the place, mattman. GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME!!
also, i'm going to send blogspot a nasty letter. "listen, dudes," it will read,"i'm fine w/ the banner ad. however, the words 'hanoi' and 'rocks' aren't supposed to appear together anywhere on this page. GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME!!"

italian soundtracks
russian record collectors
both sites feature really nice collections of album artwork. the russian one might need to be translated, or you could just click on stuff like i do
